A Proud Tradition
Since 2006
Located on a quiet five-acre campus just north of Chiefland, Florida, Nature Coast Middle School has proudly served the community since 2006 as Levy County’s first public charter middle school. From day one, our mission has remained the same:
To inspire and encourage young people to achieve their personal best through individualized academic excellence and enriching opportunities in the arts, technology, community service, and leadership.
As a publicly funded school, tuition is always free.

A Personalized Approach to Learning
We believe that every student deserves the chance to thrive. That’s why we offer:
- Small class sizes
- A teacher and assistant in every classroom
- Tailored support for both advanced learners and those needing extra help
- Strong communication between families, staff, and students
All of our teachers hold professional Florida Teaching Certificates and are deeply committed to student success.
More Than Core Subjects
At NCMS, education goes beyond the basics. In addition to our strong academic programs, students enjoy a rich variety of electives including:
- Art & Music
- Archery & Gardening
- Cooking & Computer Programming
- Sports and more
Every student is known, supported, and encouraged to grow into their best self.
